Sidi M. El Ofir's American History Blog

Hello, My name is El Ofir Sidi Mohamed and I would like to introduce you to my blog. This is an American History blog where I talk about many achievements, accomplishments and other subjects.

There isn't any revolution in Morocco. Even though, people consider the mosque Hassan 2 as a Moroccan revolution. The mosque was financed by the state and contributions of people. It cost between 1 and 2 billion dollars. Managed until 2009 by the Urban Agency of Casablanca, it now depends on the Foundation of the Hassan Mosque. The coverage of the roof has required the installation of 300 000 tiles specially made cast aluminum group Bouygues (contractor) imitating terracotta tiles glazed traditional Fez, but four times lighter. These tiles have made a weight gain of 65% compared to traditional tiles with the performance of much higher reliability. To finish and religious objects, artisans of the kingdom have helped to cover over 53 000 sqm of wood and painted more than 10 000 sq zellij representing 80 original patterns. The carved and painted plaster was completely worked up by about 1 500 artists over 67 000 m². The domes of wood were laid on frames made with 971 tons of steel and suspended from the reinforced concrete structure. The mosque is decorated with 124 fountains and marble basins.
